This creative everyday warrior serves dogs in need at Angels’ Wings Animal Shelter and volunteers at Blue Lotus Buddhist Temple. Traveling, reading, and crafting recharges Sher’s warrior spirit.
Sher became certified in Yoga ball massage therapy (Roll Model Method) in 2014. In 2017, Sher studied Himalayan Yoga for one year with master teacher, Anita Maher, at the Lotus Yoga Centre and earned her 200 hour Hatha yoga teacher certification.
Sher is registered with Yoga Alliance and has taught over 500 hours of yoga classes including workshops and retreats. Sher teaches yoga at the Cary Park District and Dundee Park District when not leading Warriors in the Wild events with Kimberly.
Kimberly balances a day job, parenting, and her dreams some days better than others. Kimberly battles fatigue and self-doubt with exercise, new adventures, and music.
Kimberly discovered yoga during the darkest period of her life. Since then, writing and yoga keep Kimberly sane. Wielding a flare marker and a yoga mat, Kimberly scaled divorce, death, and strangling stress.
On an impulse, Kimberly registered and earned her 200 hour yoga teacher certification with Breathe for Change in 2020. She is now a proud member of the Yoga Alliance.
Kimberly believes you must give to yourself in order to give to others. So, she co-founded Warriors in the Wild with Sher so others could kick off their boots and relax.
Kimberly is grateful for the community of everyday warriors whose love and light have touched her heart on this crazy life journey.
